Domestic seafarer (E-10-1 visa)

A person who engages in the business specified in Article 3, Paragraph 1 (Inner Port Regular Passenger Transport Business), Subparagraph 2 (Inner Port Irregular Passenger Transport Business), and Article 23, Subparagraph 1 (Inner Port Cargo Transport) of the Maritime Transportation Act, and who has worked as a seafarer for more than six months in that business. A person who is a member* under Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Seafarers Act who has entered into a contract.
– Limited to members boarding domestic seagoing vessels with a gross tonnage of 5 tons or more, excluding fishing vessels, among ships** to which the Seafarers Act applies***

Fishing vessel worker (E-10-2 visa)

Persons and their businesses pursuant to the provisions of Article 7, Paragraph 1, Item 1 (fixed net fishing), Article 40,Paragraph 1 (offshore fishing using power fishing boats), and Article 51, Paragraph 1 (catch transportation business) of the Fisheries Act (20 A person who has entered into a seafarer employment contract for more than 6 months on a fishing vessel (a fishing vessel of 6 tons or more) and is a member of the crew pursuant to Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Seafarers Act.

Cruise passenger seafarer (E-10-3 visa)

A national cruise business operator under Article 2, Paragraph 7 of the Act on the Promotion and Support of the Cruise Industry, who operates a business using international cruise ships under Article 4, and who may provide labor for more than six months at the business. A person who has entered into a seafarer employment contract on the condition that he/she is a member of the crew as defined in Article 2, Paragraph 6 of the Seafarers Act, who boards a cruise ship with a gross tonnage of 2,000 tons or more pursuant to Article 3 of the Enforcement Decree of the Shipping Act.
